About you and the job
As a Lead UX Researcher in our Product Design Team, you possess impressive research skills coupled with a balance of rigor and speed. You bring not only passion, but also compassion to your interactions. Working closely with PMs, researchers, designers and engineers, you will impact product and design used by millions.
Responsibilities
- Engage cross-functional stakeholders to identify high-impact research opportunities
- Own and drive large research initiatives for demonstrable impact on product strategy
- Advocate users’ needs through compelling storytelling, to build empathy
- Champion user-centered design best practices and contribute to our research culture
- Shape UXR process and infrastructure, integrating with product development
- Mentor researchers and designers, guiding them through a range of research activities
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Human Computer Interaction, Cognitive or Information Science, Behavioral, Experimental or Industrial Psychology, Anthropology or related field
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in industry, collaborating cross-functionally
- Ability to work confidently and creatively on ambiguous problems
- Familiarity with all aspects of mixed method primary research
- Solid grasp of qualitative research best practices in a product, technology or UX setting
- Proven track record influencing product direction and strategy with actionable insights
- Strong project management, communication, collaboration and presentation skills
Nice to have
- An interest in creating equitable experiences
- Experience mentoring or coaching researchers and designers
- Involvement in complex domains, within a fast-paced environment
