Sr. Product Designer 

Job Description

Summary

Our Product Team is seeking an experienced Sr. Product Designer to join us in designing cutting-edge products and features that span the Feedonomics Platform. Your focus will be on building new features and improving existing features on our product roadmap. This includes user-facing workflows for data mapping, categorization, optimization, and syndication to channels. You will be responsible for maturing the product design, research, and design operations practices, partnering with other designers to develop high-quality design outputs that are informed by user insights. You are highly motivated and naturally curious. You ask questions and seek ‘the why’ in everything you do. You are eager and able to help wherever needed.

This role will partner with other leaders and stakeholders to build out the practices, culture, and processes that enable teams to come up with the best product experiences for our customers. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates closely with other Designers, Product Management, and Engineering to identify product direction, feature set, and behaviors for your product area
  • Create flows, sketches, prototypes, wireframes, and high and low fidelity mockups to communicate concepts, facilitate discussion and solicit feedback among your team and stakeholders
  • Own the end-to-end user experience and design on the Feedonomics Product line, executing design across the entire product lifecycle
  • Contribute design work or research needs as an individual contributor 
  • Implement scalable Product Design practices across the Feedonomics organization
  • Collaborate with other designers to determine appropriate usage and evolution of design patterns and component libraries, ensuring our solutions are consistent and familiar
  • Be an active design team member and partner to drive effective collaboration
  • Partner with product management to plan and execute testing and validation of your design concepts and product rollouts 
  • Analyze and present research insights to stakeholders, product and engineering, and leadership to shape Product and Design decisions
  • Take full ownership of your work, and take responsibility for every last detail, every step of the way
     

Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant design and UX experience with a solid understanding of design methods, tools, and processes
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related function or equivalent experience required
  • Demonstrated fluency in product design, information architecture,  user experience design, and usability research
  • Experience working in a Scrum or Agile framework
  • Experience working in eCommerce or SaaS (software as a service) as a product designer
  • Experience designing and prototyping in tools like Figma
  • Demonstrated execution of end-to-end design process from discovery to delivery, with artifacts showcasing visual design, interaction design, and strategic thinking

  • Prioritization. You appreciate the latest design trends but can easily filter out what is and isn’t useful to your audience. You can look at your design solution and determine what is integral to the experience and what are ‘bells and whistles’
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
