UI/UX Designer

About the opportunity

The UI/UX Designer role supports the design of two existing platforms. One platform services the AgTech industry while the other is a trading exchange. You will be part of a switched on team and support the UX Leads in each platform, brainstorming and iterating designs. You will have significant responsibility in progressing this work to develop polished designs and prototypes. While primarily on the tools in the UI space, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in UX and ultimately take on more responsibility in this space as well.

A typical day could include any of the following:

• Sketching low fidelity wireframes
• Building high fidelity UI designs
• Working with lead UX Designers to iterate and polish concepts and designs
• Building prototypes & polished designs to inform the Front-end developer team
• Designing UI elements (ie. Icons, supporting graphics, etc)
• Contributing to a design system
• Documenting designs, functionality, and design choices

• Significant experience in responsive UI design & content layout
• Strong experience in design principles and tools
• Strong experience in Figma (similar software considered)
• Experience or interest in UX design
