The UX Designer is responsible for being an advocate for end users, understanding their goals and frustrations, and designing solutions that produce measurable outcomes. UX Designers are highly collaborative and help facilitate design decisions and gathering feedback from stakeholders and end users. UX Designers are also responsible for designing and improving the Fenrir Design System which is a combination of our Figma Style Guide and React UI Component libraries along with documentation so that Designers and Developers can speak the same language and have a common set of guidelines to follow and improve together. UX Designers also work closely with Agile development teams to design features and improvements to the Arctic Wolf product suite. Designers work directly with Developers to evaluate solution ideas, prototype ideas, implement solutions and validate with end users. As a UX Designer you will plan, design, and facilitate effective UX projects and help development teams execute designs by participating in all phases of the design process from concept, to prototype, to production.
Responsibilities Include:

Collaborate with team members in Product Management, Development, and Security Services to understand & deliver the key features identified in the Product Team roadmaps

Collaborate with UX Researchers on research methods and activities to gain insight and feedback from end users.

Create User Journeys, UX problem maps and to clarify the problem and understand value propositions.

Facilitate collaborative workshops to review research finds, organize into meaningful plans and generate solution ideas.

Collaborate with Product Management and Agile Development teams to plan, design and build features, usability updates and new product ideas.

Create information architecture maps and user flow maps to review and validate assumptions.

Design interfaces while having a strong understanding of technical constraints, business objectives, and customer use-case expectations in mind.

Seek out the most relevant and insightful feedback based on the needs of the project to improve designs and validate assumptions.

Contribute to Arctic Wolf Design Guidelines, Design Principles and Design System.

Support fellow UX team members working in an agile development environment and facilitate collaboration with cross-functional roles.
We value a culture of sharing, so every team has the opportunity to share their work with the entire department during our monthly R&D Demos. Once a year we hold a department-wide Hackathon, teaming up across all R&D teams over four days to collaborate and build cool ideas outside the normal project scope. While innovation is the focus, some of these ideas do make it into our products.
About You
-
You have experience as a UX Designer, including experience applying multiple user-centred design methods to solve user problems.

You should have experience working on applications made for the Web and have a solid understanding of how HTML, CSS and Javascript works.

You understand Web Accessibility and have a solid understanding WCAG guidelines and levels.

You can design interaction patterns that work great on keyboard and using a screen reader.

You are able to demonstrate workflows from the perspective of multiple personas.

You have designed for complex Information Architecture and UI patterns to support navigation in both desktop and mobile.

You can easily think of common UX Design patterns (mobile and desktop)

You have some experience doing in-person and remote research techniques such as in-person discussions, remote interviews, remote testing, recording and online collaboration sessions.

You have some experience working in an agile development environment and collaborating with cross-functional roles.

Previous security experience is preferred but not required. We provide all the cybersecurity training you need during onboarding and on-the-job training.
Interview Process
The interview process is approximately as follows:

Phone pre-screening: A recruiter contacts you to briefly discuss your work history and provide an overview of Arctic Wolf. Approximately 30 minutes.

Technical assessment: A recruiter sends you a link to a straightforward technical assessment that is relevant to the role you are applying for. Approximately 1 hour.

Face-to-face interviews: Several team members conduct two interviews to learn more about you and provide more information about your potential role and team. Be prepared to collaborate on a technical problem and talk more about past projects and your career goals. Approximately 1 hour per interview.
