As a Senior Product Designer, you will report to the VP, Digital Experience. You will be part of a team building a world-class, web-based platform connecting our customers, Mission, and AWS. This first of its kind platform will create visibility, aggregated insights, and streamlined workflows for our customers. You will perform research, design interfaces, and build prototypes while setting a strong example of craft, communication, collaboration, and flexibility across our design, product, and engineering teams.

This position is 100% remote.
Responsibilities
- Design product experiences that are engaging, efficient, intuitive, and solve real problems
- Collaborate and solution with stakeholders, product managers, designers, and engineers in a 100% remote environment to ship an extraordinary end-to-end user experience
- Participate in, plan, and run user research and usability studies to develop a deep understanding of our customers workflows, environments, needs and pain-points
- Create affinity maps and task flow diagrams, mock up interface screens, and prototype ideas for testing
- Work closely with engineers to ensure the successful technical implementation of your designs
- Provide feedback on work by other designers; help them build context, decision-making skills, and empathy for our users
- Contributing to our internal design system, working with other designers and engineers to continually evolve our design patterns
- Create and participate in an extremely collaborative and iterative environment; listen and solicit feedback, adapt product design, and continuously improve our platform
Requirements
- 5+ years experience designing modern B2B, enterprise, or data-heavy applications
- Experience working with design tools like Figma, Miro, and Balsamiq or ability to pick up new tools quickly
- Experience establishing, contributing to, or influencing a design system
- Expert knowledge and experience with driving and applying an end-to-end iterative design process including how to develop and use design research, user stories, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, user testing, and high-fidelity visuals to achieve human-centered design solutions
- Experience designing products that balance all aspects of user experience, such as strategy and research, information architecture, and interaction design
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills; experience communicating the “why” behind design rationale to teammates and customers
- A strong design portfolio that shows off your process, reasoning and outcomes
- Experience managing projects independently and with minimal oversight
- Experience providing design feedback and a genuine desire to help less experienced designers improve their skill sets
- AWS Cloud Practitioner certification to be achieved within the first year of employment at Mission
