We are looking for an experienced UX Designer to our Product Design team to take the Whim app and its service to the next level. You would be joining our growing product design team where we are designing the future of urban mobility together and you would work either in Helsinki Finland, or in Madrid, Spain. You are a seasoned user experience professional with an excellent ability to understand user needs and convert insights, ideas, and requirements into engaging experiences that would change our urban landscape and the way people move about.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating in a fun and dynamic environment with other experienced designers, developers and various stakeholders to understand user needs, create concepts, design user flows, and take ideas from sketches all the way to production.
• Having end-to-end design responsibility for different service features, user journeys, prototypes and concepts.
• Creating and maintaining UX flows, conducting usability tests, and working with developers to get designs implemented while maintaining quality.
• Arranging design reviews and facilitating service design workshops from time to time.
• Communicating ideas and design concepts to the wider team through presentations or show-and-tells.
  

What you need in order to be successful in this role:

• At least 5+ years of experience in UX and interaction design for mobile apps and digital services. Additional experience as a service designer is a plus.
• A strong portfolio showing applied skills in interaction and visual design, and a track record of successfully delivered projects.
• Solid skills in creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, user journeys, UI layouts, and other design deliverables.
• Knowledge of UX and visual design principles, usability testing, design systems, and service design methods.
• Familiarity with both iOS and Android UI styles as well as with the latest digital design trends.
• Hands-on experience with design tools such as Figma and Illustrator. Animation and illustration skills are appreciated.

Nice-to-haves:

• A general understanding of the software development process and experience working with frontend and backend developers.
• Ability to collaborate with different internal and external stakeholders by facilitating design sprints, concept reviews and workshops.
• Strong communications skills with a good command of written and spoken English.
• Educational background in human computer interaction, visual design, product design or a similar field preferred.

Our annual salary range for this role is from 45 000 to 65 000 euros, depending on the experience.
