The global financial ecosystem is changing. Revolutionary blockchain technology has unlocked the potential for people around the world to have more equal access to wealth and information. This transformation has begun with the mass global adoption of cryptocurrencies but like all new financial systems, it needs greater trust to realize its full potential and remain safe from bad actors. That’s where we come in. The Chainalysis blockchain data platform enables businesses, governments, and banks to solve the world’s most high-profile criminal cases, paving the way for an economy built on blockchains.

Our growing team of UX Researchers impact both experience and product strategy through a deep and rigorous understanding of our users. We’re building UX Research as a core capability at Chainalysis – come join us.

In one year you’ll know you were successful if…

  • You led all aspects of critical research efforts that furthered our understanding of the user and informed experience or product strategy.
  • You contributed to shaping how the org develops UX Research as a core competency.
  • You built strong relationships with cross-functional partners by being an adaptable and empathetic collaborator.
  • You’ve educated partners and teams on “what good looks like” when it comes to thoughtful and rigorous UX Research.
  • You demonstrated an experimental, creative, and persistent approach to creating an impact through research.

A background like this helps:

  • Track record of leading UX Research using a variety of methods (including qualitative interviews, surveys, field research, and usability testing).
  • Devotion to excellence along every step of the research process alongside the ability to communicate trade-offs when faced with constraints.
  • Experience designing, analyzing and communicating impactful research in an agile, earlier stage product development process.
  • Inherent interest in shaping emerging UX Research processes and resources.
  • Comfortable in environments where thorough documentation and over communication are critical – especially when collaborating with remote colleagues in different time zones.
  • Passion for asking the right questions and ability to explore all available resources to formulate solutions to complex problems.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and exceptionally proactive about guiding strategic thinking in a greenfield, innovative product space.
  • Experience broadly socializing UX Research findings, best practices, and a user-centric approach throughout an organization.
  • Demonstrable portfolio or reports of past work that showcase excellent storytelling skills and a breakdown of your research planning, process, and decisions.
  • You value (and are excited about contributing to) a team culture that values authenticity, candidness, growth, and fun.

Bonus points:

  • UX Research experience with a complex domain space (such as Enterprise SAAS, FinTech, or cryptocurrency).
  • Natural interest in blockchain technology.
  • High-growth startup environment experience.
  • Some experience with mixed-methods UX Research.
  • Experimental attitude towards the latest UX Research tools and methods.
  • Master’s degree or PhD in a related field.
