 The Opportunity 

FWI | Poppulo is looking for a driven, empathetic and talented UX Researcher to join our UX team!  

You will work to deliver high quality and impactful user research to shape the work of your fun and highly motivated colleagues across UX, Product, Engineering and throughout the organization. We work in a supportive agile culture, where you will use and strengthen your skills and knowledge to produce meaningful research insights.  

This opportunity is full-time and permanent. We are based in Cork but are open to remote working within Ireland. 

Key Responsibilities: 

You will be responsible for all aspects of research including planning, user recruitment, data collection, analysis and sharing of findings- identifying the best methods based on research goals and resources available. 

  • Collaborating with the rest of the UX team, Product Managers and Engineers to continuously identify opportunities and leverage user research insights   
  • Understanding product roadmaps to translate them into long-term and short- term research plans and incorporating technical and business requirements into research  
  • Creating and managing user research materials (e.g. surveys), preparing and running the user interviews, usability tests and A/B tests etc.  
  • Planning and implementing processes and tools to aggregate and store user research data 
  • Performing data analysis and presenting key research findings and actionable recommendations to help everyone focus on user needs  
  • Regularly looking outward to identify opportunities for improvement and to incorporate advancements in user research methods and tools   
  • Helping the Product team and the wider organization to understand users’ needs  
  • Collaborating on UX design studios, user journey mapping and whiteboard ideation sessions with your team and internal/external stakeholders   
  • Positively motivating and influencing teams with a problem-solving attitude   
  • Developing, implementing and sharing best practices to strengthen the capacity of non-research colleagues to conduct user research and interpret user research findings

Candidate Expertise Required: 

  • 4+ years as a UX researcher on digital products with multi-disciplinary product delivery teams 
  • A Degree in psychology, sociology, anthropology, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction (HCI) or any UX related discipline or equivalent practical experience  
  • Expertise in conducting user research studies from start to finish; planning, user recruitment, data collection with various methodologies, data analysis and sharing of research findings 
  • Can showcase at least three significant UX Research project(s) they’ve been actively involved in  
  • An expert's understanding of rigour and methodology in research and how to get the most out of a project in an agile environment 
  • Expertise in a wide variety of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and an ability to apply them on problems of different size and scope 
  • Knowledge of analytics tools e.g. MS Excel, SPSS, NVivo, Atlas.ti  
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate, present, and speak clearly about user research concepts, methods and studies and findings 
  • Proven ability to be able to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to produce high quality research 
  • Open to providing and receiving constructive critique and feedback 

Soft Skills/Nice to have

  • Experience working in agile environments 
  • Knowledge of Pendo, ProdPad, Firebase, Salesforce or Looker 
  • Knowledge of usability and design patterns best practice  
  • Experience in creating user flows, wireframes and interactive prototypes
