The role
The role of UI/UX Designer is to oversee and contribute to the creation, evolution and customization of our state of the art MarTech platform, alongside mobile-optimized applications and websites, to ensure seamless customer experience and successful implementation of UI/UX best practices and principles across all our digital platforms and products. The role reports to the Senior UI/UX Designer and is based in Gerakas, Athens HQs.

The right candidate will:

  • Produce high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes for all digital products, based on our Design System
  • Understand product specifications, user psychology, and business goals aiming for a compelling overall vision of the user experience
  • Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and focus on the end-user
  • Suggest UI improvements to the existing features by working with internal teams, seek their feedback, and incorporate it in design revisions
  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering, keeping projects on track
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking activities (e.g. User interviews, Usability tests) to establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards
  • Create wireframes and prototypes to test and validate ideas and concepts, by analyzing internal and external data (performance, A/B tests, etc.)
  • Work closely with the product team, account managers, engineering & QAsBe continuously informed on UX trends, evaluate their relativity to Upstream’s need, and identify ways to implement the best ideas to the end-product.
  • Occasionally support in digital marketing banners/landing pages

Requirements

  • 1+years of experience in user-centered design, visual design, user interface design, and usability engineering
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a design-related field, or equivalent experience
  • A portfolio of professional UI/UX design work for both web and mobile platforms
  • Experience in delivering wireframes, user stories, user journeys, mockups, interactive prototypes, design specifications optimized for a wide range of devices, screens sizes, and interfaces
  • Working knowledge of the following technologies and software: Figma, Sketch, InVision, Visio, HTML, CSS (SCSS), iOS/Android principles, Design Systems, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Experience in working with design systems, style guides, and documentation
  • Experience using analytics, A/B testing, user research, and other approaches to help make decisions and iterate on the product
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints of responsive web and mobile apps
  • A team player that can also work independently
  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
