What you’ll do:

Are you excited about designing experiences that are changing the way people travel? Do you love doing work that is inspiring, innovative, and intuitive? Are you ready to help craft experiences that will define the future of the cruise travel journey? As Senior UX Designer, Cruise, you’ll be responsible for creating delightful, useful, and usable digital solutions that help every traveler plan and make memorable cruise experiences. You will translate business and user goals into impactful and user-centric designs, which includes but not limited to wireframing, prototyping, user testing, and visual design. As a part of the design team, you will partner with product managers, developers, marketing, and other designers, while managing the user experience for an area of the business.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and team members to brainstorm new products, features, and functionality that enhance our mobile and web experiences.

  • Partner closely with product and engineering to translate business and users’ goals into elegant but practical designs that can deliver on key business and user metrics.

  • Ensure designs and user interfaces communicate consistent, effective experiences and messages across all platforms, and are in alignment with core site and branding strategy.

  • Conduct research including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of requirements discovery.

  • Produce user requirements, storyboards, wireframes, scenarios, flowcharts, design prototypes, and design specifications.

  • Design and specify user interfaces and information architecture using participatory and iterative design techniques.

  • Effectively communicate UX research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually.

  • Lead collaborative and productive virtual and in-person workshops and design-thinking sessions.

What we are looking for:

  • 5+ years of professional experience with demonstrated UX expertise in user research, visual design, interaction design, and information architecture.

  • Experience creating world-class digital experiences that generate meaningful outcomes for users and the business. High-growth, scaled, consumer-facing experience in travel, media, retail, or marketplaces are a big bonus.

  • A track record of great collaboration with product, marketing, and engineering peers and teams.

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills with ability to explain/defend design decisions to all levels of the organization.

  • Advocate for user and customer needs backed by quantitative and qualitative data and research.

  • Expertise with design, research, and facilitation tools such as Figma, Usertesting.com, and Miro.

  • A strong portfolio that demonstrates a high bar for aesthetics and visual design, tangible impact to user experience, and connection of your efforts towards user and business outcomes.
