About the Role

Hi all! we are hiring for a UX Writer to partner with Product Designers, Product Managers, Product Marketing Managers, Globalization specialists, and others to explore user needs, new markets, and initiatives that help to innovate and evolve Foodics product experiences. You are expected to effectively speak to what matters most for our community, advocating for user-centered design. Your mission is to develop writing language focused on user education processes and accessibility.

You are expected to advocate for the value of UX writing across the company, including best practices for scalable content strategies, localization, and accessibility, and partner with our Product Designers, Product Leaders, and Developers to strategize and conduct content projects, Work with the Product Design Manager to scope project work (in partnership with PMs, Data and engineers) and help define the writing tone of voice and timeline to implement them and be a technical reference for the team, seeking to adapt and replicate the best practices in the market, increasing the team’s bar.

Responsibilities

  • Help the company to design our content design guide
  • Act as the go-to writer across our products, working on various content types, including UI microcopy, FAQ articles, and emails.
  • Benchmark the content experience of products over time and against competitors
  • Collaborate with other researchers, designers, product managers, data scientists, marketing and operations managers, and engineers to ensure our content is accessible and inclusive.
  • Validate and test your copy to make a tangible impact.
  • Work with various stakeholders across the company to advocate for the value of UX writing and ensure the Foodics voice is used consistently across all touchpoints.
  • Create copy optimized for transcreation and work with localization to ensure your copy is seamlessly localized for all our markets.
  • Help us to showcase the impact of proper Writing and expand our UX Writing team.
  • Push beyond "just microcopy." Regularly try to use new ways of structuring, designing, and explaining content to improve the user experience.
  • Inspire fellow product designers by creating a high bar of quality writing work
  • Spread the gospel of the Oxford comma, and always point out when it's not used where it should be; discuss semicolons in depth.
  • Push the boundaries of the team’s execution and help Foodics challenge the status quo.

Requirements

  • Experience working with product teams building scalable solutions.
  • You're highly skilled in adapting to the English language. You know every rule of writing, but you care more about how people actually interact with language in combination with digital design.
  • Arabic language is a plus
  • Your experience proves that you are excited by complexity, and you thrive when breaking down financial and technical jargon.
  • Tone of voice discovery and validation skills and craft is a plus
  • Demonstrated business and/or product impact based on past content design contributions
  • Experience defining the content direction and process and can lead others through it.
  • Demonstrated passion for and commitment to social impact causes
  • Can effortlessly motivate and drive towards sound and intuitive product experiences
  • Demonstrated ability to help a team navigate ambiguity, set vision, and set strategy for global products, capable of collaboratively contributing to product vision and roadmap
  • Experience with making complex information, tools, and services easily digestible for your audience
  • Strong storytelling, presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • This is a hybrid position with our team in the Netherlands. Candidates who can work remotely and with a convenient time zone difference are encouraged to apply.
