Spring is a green mission-led start-up with currently a team of 40+ brilliant people.

Our mission is to change the way we all use technology as everyday thousands of forgotten tech devices waste potential, lose value, and add pressure on the planet. The world currently generates 50 million tonnes of e-waste every year and that figure is set to double by 2050.

We want to allow everyone to give old tech a new life while saving the environment by reducing e-waste going into landfills and CO2 emissions. You can now easily sell, recycle, and trade in your old tech, through our self-service machines (Pods).

We have secured Series A private equity funding and contracts with major national retailers, Morrisons & Co-Op.

The Role:

As a Senior Product Designer at Spring, there'll be a healthy blend of green and existing products to develop. These include our intuitive customer dashboard, website and our in-store Pods. You'll collaborate with our UX researcher to gather customer insights and competitor analysis. Using these insights, you will develop business solutions that will solve complex user issues and improve the experiences for our customers. Creating user personas, wireframes, prototypes and then working closely with our product designers, you'll oversee the delivery of these products, from conceptualisation to launch.

As a Senior within the team, you'll contribute towards the overall design system for Spring, alongside the Head of Design, applying user-experience research and design thinking to create great experiences.

• Think creatively to solve user problems, thinking of the customer throughout the design process
• Can build wireframes and prototypes with your eyes closed, confident in your ability as a designer
• Enjoy collaborating across teams to drive a better end experience for customers, building products with high impact
• You truly love end-to-end design thinking, from research to UX and creating beautiful UI designs.
• make use of tools such as Figma and the Adobe Suite, such as Illustrate and Photoshop
