At Bluesight, our mission is to create groundbreaking medication intelligence solutions that increase efficiency, safety and visibility for health systems and pharmaceutical manufacturers.  We empower our customers to deliver the right medicine to the right patient at the right time, every time.  We are a high growth healthcare software technology company with a start-up 'vibe' but over 1000 customers tracking medications using our proven and established solutions.

Bluesight’s UX team is tasked with creating experiences that help health systems capitalize on medication inventory, purchasing, documentation practices, and diversion monitoring through data. Bluesight is involved with the entire drug tracking life cycle, from pre-tagging drugs at the moment they are manufactured to when they are administered to a patient. The UX team aims to simplify these complex data structures and processes through intuitive and easy to use products.

Our creed is to honor the customer. We advocate for our users while learning and understanding their needs, behaviors, and emotions. We focus on making our customer’s day easier by designing data driven, intuitive and easy-to-use products. UX Designers also contribute to a growing cross-functional UX practice. As a team, we collaborate closely with each other on UX patterns, methodologies and best practices.

We are currently seeking a well rounded Senior UX Designer to join our team. The right candidate must embody and practice the following requirements:

    • Create engaging user experiences with a focus on efficiency
    • Be a system thinker that makes sense of complex information and system architecture
    • Create low-fidelity mockups, high-fidelity prototypes, wireframes, and other assets to validate your designs before they get built
    • Collaborate with other UX designers to develop and enhance UX processes and components
    • Maintain and advance Bluesight’s Style Guide using design best practices, following brand guidelines, and staying ahead of common trends
    • Actively contribute to the design system by defining new components and libraries
    • Interact directly with customers to understand their needs and challenges
    • Understand product usage data to identify points of friction in our user experience
    • Conduct, document and share user research
    • Follow and advocate for best practices, tools, methodologies to drive quality, consistency, and efficiency across all of our products
    • Advocate for UX across the organization
    • Mentor junior designers

Required Qualifications

    • Strong competency — developed through 5-7 years experience — across the entire design lifecycle and ability to contribute at any stage
    • Strong portfolio of work including examples that demonstrate your design process
    • Proven track record of interacting directly with end users, planning and leading research efforts, and transforming information gathered into usable interfaces and workflows
    • The ability to lead design discussions and make the right UX decisions for the customer while reconciling business requirements
    • Proficiency with industry-standard design tools (e.g. Illustrator, Sketch)
    • Strong communication, visualization, and prototyping skills
    • Able to work independently while also collaborating with other UX designers to develop and enhance UX processes and patterns
    • The ability to evangelize UX across the larger organization

Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Information Design, Interaction Design, Product Design, Human Factors, or similar degree
    • Experience in healthcare supply chain, pharmacy, or other supply chain UX experience
    • Experience designing for eCommerce
    • Experience working in an Agile cross-functional and collaborative environment
    • Experience implementing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
    • Experience working with and contributing to design systems
