At UpLift, we believe mental health is just as important as physical health, and we're rethinking the mental healthcare model. UpLift is a multi-sided marketplace, applying technology to empower patients to find in-network therapists that are covered by their insurance plan. Patients lack access to proper mental healthcare and while 1 in 5 Americans struggle with mental health issues, only 40% of this group received care in the last year. At the same time, providers are underutilized, and independent therapists are operating at 60% capacity. UpLift acts as the bridge between patient, provider and insurer, empowering patients to find the best therapist for their needs at a price they can afford.
About the Job:
As a UI/UX designer at UpLift, you'll create experiences to connect patients to the mental healthcare they need and build tools to help mental health providers to manage and grow their practices.
Responsibilities:
- Build interaction models, workflows, screen designs, and visual details that resonate with therapists, psychiatrists, and patients
- Understand and advocate for user needs by leading research activities
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop thoughtful design solutions that are accessible and pixel-perfect
- Create sketches, wireframes, mockups, or user journeys to share your ideas
- Help grow Design as a function by contributing to our design system, establishing processes, and growing the team
Relevant Experience:
- You are a curious and empathetic designer
- You have 5+ years of product design experience
- You have experience working with Figma or a willingness to learn
- You are comfortable working in a startup environment and making decisions without all of the answers in front of you
- Bonus points: you have experience working in healthcare or a double-sided marketplace
Additional Information
This role is remote & has a full-time annual compensation range of $110,000 - $140,000 which includes base salary plus benefits & equity.
