We focus on categories where microbial innovations and microbiome-related products will disrupt and capture global market share in the coming years (e.g. oral care, skin care, infant health, etc.). You are a designer who takes pride in creating beautiful and compelling digital experiences, whether websites, apps, or experiential digital products. You have a clarity of vision about how to make digital interactions clear and opinionated for users, while preserving the beauty and integrity of the brand. You have a strong background in UX and UI design, and empathically know how to meet people where they are and how to bring them along for the journey. You have experience designing across numerous touchpoints, and you can zoom in and out, designing at both the pixel and the system levels. You are eager to practice empathy-led design, grounding in & focusing on the needs and desires of target users in order to make design decisions.

As a designer with expert knowledge in both visual and experience design, you’ll practice human-centered design to solve complex problems, & create breakthrough experiences, services, and products. Your ability to ask questions and connect the dots across multiple departments from Design to Product/Engineering to Growth will make you a unique and invaluable part of the ecosystem. 

You will work on a cross-functional team that will help Seed execute, with precision and innovation, a world-class customer subscription experience that reflects the rigor of our science, intentionality of our brand, and the human-centric ethos of our company, especially as it relates to the accountability of health. You obsess over data, insights, new trends, technologies and the kind of gut instincts that come from experience and deep knowledge of our brand. 

What you’ll do

  • Work across our Product/Engineering and Brand teams to continually design, build, and iterate our e-commerce experience on seed.com, often in a way that works within our evolving Design Library
  • Expand and define what digital experiences and interactions look and feel like at Seed include web, mobile, dashboards, and other branded experiences
  • Create beautiful, intuitive, and innovative UX solutions from initial inception through to launch
  • Work with the Design Director and Director of Storytelling + Education to concept and develop campaign specific digital expressions that bring the intersection of science + art to life in compelling and unique ways 
  • Work with the Product, Design, and Engineering teams to design interactive experiences through front-end user interfaces, narrative storytelling, and creating brand assets

Who you are

  • You have 4+ years in a User Experience Design or Product Design role 
  • Your portfolio demonstrates strong UX, interaction, and visual design experience
  • You have experience shipping/designing end-to-end digital product experiences
  • You have experience working/designing for e-commerce companies
  • You have knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methods of user research to validate ideas and make informed design decisions
  • You have experience in A/B testing best practices 
  • You’re proficient with Figma and Adobe CC
  • You have a keen eye for design detail within a lean, ship fast environment
  • You have a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive web
  • You find it second nature to think about user flows and customer journeys
  • You are great at turning human behavior and needs into real concepts

The annual pay range for this full-time position is $110k-$150k + equity + benefits across all US locations (this position is 100% remote-US). Our pay ranges are guided by discipline, level and experience required. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on additional factors, including: your specific location, desired skills/ technical competency, relevant experience and advanced education/ training.
