The role

We're looking for inspired and curious people to join the design function to help develop the culture, define principles, and collaborate with brand design to set the direction for the future of GoCardless products.

The team strives to deliver meaningful change to the people and processes we serve. Whether it's an internal tool or an outward-facing product, we take pride in our craft, from insight to application. 

This role is focussed on improving the onboarding experience and help merchants realise the value as they start their journey with GoCardless. It’s a hugely impactful role that needs robust UI visual design with the ability to test regularly and iterate on designs.

Desired skills

  • You will be accountable for crafting best-in-class visuals and experiences for any products you work on.

  • You will be interrogating data points and behavioural patterns, turning these into opportunities for product improvements.

  • You will be partnering with Product Managers to drive research pieces that uncover customer problems and define our customers' jobs.

  • You will be drawing on experience, knowledge, and data to help define the future landscape of the GoCardless platform.

  • You will be using your Figma expertise to streamline workflows and create varied projects from wireframes to highly polished prototypes.

  • You will be a key contributor to the GoCardless design system working with all other designers in the function.

  • You will have a passion for UI interface design and have a strong portfolio with examples of visual design you’re proud of.
