Basil Design Company provides design services for a select few clients in varying industries. We retain just a few, high-quality clients at a time and strive to create top-tier, impactful work for them. Currently, we specialize in building and managing Webflow websites, branding, and creating a few graphic design projects here and there for clients.

Right now, it’s just me (www.danstrangfeld.com)! I’m looking to expand the team due to a high workload and a desire to be able to create better work for clients.

About this Role

• I’m looking for a UX/UI designer to help with client work and to design Basil Design Company a new website whenever client work is low.
• Create low-fidelity and high-fidelity UX/UI designs in Figma for websites across all device sizes (mobile, tablet, desktop, widescreen).
• Help brands establish their visual identity through creating logos, colors, typography, art direction, etc which is informed by the brand’s messaging.
• Build brand guidelines which includes both messaging and visual identity.
• Help create pitch decks to raise money for early-stage businesses.
• Work in Figma, like all the time!

About You

• Fluent spoken and written English (level C1 or C2).
• Are an expert in Figma (Prototyping, components, variants, documentation, etc).
• Have 2+ years of experience designing responsive UX/UI layouts for desktop and mobile.
• Have completed 10+ paid projects for clients or employers.
• Are organized and detailed with your high-fidelity (final) designs.
• Care deeply about creating the best work possible and continuously improving your work.
• Believer in doing what you need to to make things right.
• Willing to both teach and learn with one another.

Position Details

We are primarily seeking candidates located in South/Central America, Africa, and Eastern Europe for this position.

• Type = Contract, Part-time
• Time = 80 hours per month
• Duration = 3 months with potential for extension
• Salary = $1,500 per month
• Payments = Biweekly (every two weeks)
• Location = 100% Remote
