UX Researcher

Codelitt

Codelitt helps companies build new products and solve their most pressing problems with the speed, technology, and innovation of a startup. We are passionate about improving the lives of our users through the products we build.

#LI-Remote

If you thrive in a small team environment and love being involved in creating products that will have an impact on real users, this is the job for you. Your passion lies with user advocacy, yet you understand the tremendous impact that UX brings to a business investing in building a product and know how to walk the line between both.

As a User Experience Researcher, you’ll be asked to work with the design, PM and engineering departments in developing new product features. Your main focus will be to provide answers to the most challenging questions in the product’s design, revealing what the consumers need from the business’s products by conducting primary research and exploring consumer behavior and motivations.

You will assist the entire product team in understanding what would ensure that the consumer’s experience with the product feels more intuitive, fun, accessible, and quite possibly, magical.

Responsibilities

    • As a User Experience Researcher, you will be directly responsible for leading product design research activity across multiple products.
    • Our products are wide-ranging, serving end customers and internal teams across sales, leasing, and operations, focusing on demand generation, sales acceleration, and data-driven apps.
    • As part of a globally distributed design team, you will plan and conduct formative and summative research using qualitative and quantitative methods, in support of the creation of vibrant and compelling user experiences that combine technology and content in ways that will engage and delight our users.
    • The resulting experiences will define excellence for our 'front-stage' product offerings, combining services, technology and content in ways that engage and delight our customers, online and offline.
    • Work autonomously with UX designers to synthesize complex product/design questions into actionable research plans
    • Articulate and roll out those research plans in collaboration with UX designers, product managers and other stakeholders
    • Present findings and recommendations for next steps -- whether they’re product/design decisions or further research
    • Conduct qualitative user interviews and tests
    • Conduct quantitative research using a range of methodologies across multiple platforms
    • Conduct competitive research and analysis, identify industry standards and trends
    • Develop user profiles, personas, core user scenarios, and journey maps
    • Stay up-to-date with and display knowledge of market trends and best practices
    • Leverage product analytics (e.g. Pendo / Hotjar) to provide actionable insights on retention and product usability
    • Help establish UX research as ‘business as usual during the product design & development process
    • Mentor and help onboard entry-level user researchers as they are hired onto the team

Requirements:

    • 3+ years of professional experience in user research (enterprise or SaaS preferred)
    • Experience in designing and conducting user research and informing product and design decisions with outcomes
    • Ability to articulate design recommendations based on research outcomes, e.g. using low-fidelity wireframes
    • Demonstrable knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, evaluation techniques, and analysis
    • Ability to juggle multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Self-motivated, dedicated, detail-oriented, and organized
    • High level of empathy; ability to relate to users from various perspectives
    • Ability to provide unbiased voice-of-the-customer feedback based on research findings
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
    • Experience conducting user tests using UserTesting.com, UserZoom or similar platforms
    • Experience interpreting quantitative data from Pendo, FullStory, Hotjar or similar SaaS product analytics platforms
    • Travel Requirements: Up to 10% of the time for Onsite Ethnographic and Moderated Customer Research
