RUN Studios, and its client partner, a large online retailer headquartered in Seattle, are seeking a customer focused UX Designer to help work on customer-facing experiences.

We're looking for a UX Designer to create elegant, intuitive user interfaces that meet this unique customer need. You will work closely with other designers, product management, engineering, and other design teams to successfully go from early-stage product concepts to iterations and launches of new features and offerings.

This is a contract opportunity scheduled to run for approximately 3 months with potential of extending.   
  
As a UX Designer, You Will  

  • Deliver high quality creative designs across diverse products and devices
  • Invest into understanding customer needs through driving customer/UX research and usability studies
  • Lead cross-team conceptual development, partnering with other designers, PMs, engineers, and business teams
  • Develop wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively conceptualize and communicate high-level design strategies and detailed interaction behaviors
  • Provide thought leadership in architecting short- and long-term visions for the customer experience

As an Applicant, You Bring  

  • 5+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, product design or similar UX-related role
  • A strong portfolio of innovative design work that demonstrates industry-leading design and business success and depth of work in UX, visual design, service design (wireframes, journey maps, personas)
  • Fluency in best practices for information architecture and interaction design, user-centered design process, as well as strong knowledge of user experience principles and techniques
  • Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
  • Strong practical knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, web-based information architecture and design
  • Ability to work independently, gracefully and have a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Natural curiosity and find inspiration beyond the screen; through the people you talk to, analogous experiences, and beyond

Bonus if You Have

  • Experience designing services and delivering UX solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
  • Experience owning projects, communicating timelines, aligning stakeholders and executing independently You confidently present a strong rationale for design decisions and rely on analytics and data (including qualitative data) to shape product decisions and track the effectiveness of change
  • Solid written, verbal, and presentation skills

Compensation:

Pay Range: $60 – $80 (Hourly)

The successful candidate’s starting pay within this range will be based on various factors such as individual qualifications and work location.

Benefits:

Benefits and perks may vary depending on location and nature of the work, but eligible employees have access to medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D benefits, health savings and flexible spending accounts, other telehealth and wellness benefits, a minimum of seven paid holidays per year, accrual of at least 6.5 days (Temporary Employment) to at least 15 days (Regular Employment) of paid time off per year, a 401k plan with company match, discretionary bonuses dependent on company, team or individual performance, and referral bonuses for eligible hired referrals.
