Get to know the Role:
Collaborate closely with Design and Product leadership to define features and communicate ideas effectively to achieve the right outcome.
Work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering partners and understand the business impact of your systems and show good judgment when making trade-offs.
Take ownership of design by providing a system-wide view and caring for Product Design team rituals that ensure more robust work across the entire team.
Work independently and efficiently on multiple projects of different size and scope while taking a long-term view of how it fits BigPay’s holistic vision.
Analyse user behaviour, pain points, and industry trends to solve customer-centric ambiguous problem areas in existing or new verticals.
Conduct and facilitate ideation sessions, design validation, and usability testing to ensure the highest product quality standards.
Deliver flows, prototypes, sketches, and high-quality visuals that set the standard for design excellence, and offer a straightforward narrative for others to pick up and continue with.
Solicit feedback and resolve issues beyond the scope of your team and work closely with Engineering to ensure high-quality implementation and user experience.
Bring perspective and provide context for current and future UX patterns and behaviours and make the appropriate trade-offs.
As a Senior Product Designer at BigPay, you will have the opportunity to take on increasing levels of responsibility and leadership, with the potential opportunities by improving design processes and mentoring other designers.
The Must-Haves:
Online portfolio with a range of interactive samples.5+ years of experience in a UX/UI/Product Design role. 8+ years of total design experience.
Strong understanding and respect for the fundamentals of user-centric design and design thinking principles.
Excellent understanding of user experience design for the web, mobile, or touch devices. Good eye for visual design and hands-on experience in user interface design.
Experience in the Tech space. Interest in FinTech, financial applications and curiosity for numbers.
Experience with Figma, Sketch, Jira, and Miro.
Ability to prototype and demonstrate design concepts to extended stakeholders using Figma & Invision.
Working knowledge of common mobile and front-end web development.
Experience in service design, conducting user research, or experience translating research findings into tangible product requirements are all a plus.
Have the ability to manage time wisely across projects.
Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.
