What You’ll Do:

We are looking for a UX Researcher who will work closely with your colleagues from our offices in India and New York to conduct user research to continually create best-in-class experiences that drive customer engagement and satisfaction across DeepIntent’s suite of products. 

  • Own the end-to-end process of User Research and Testing engagements, including recruitment requests, logistics, execution and reporting
  • Follows the product development life cycle to ensure that teams are adhering to User Research recommendations and making changes in a way that doesn’t compromise the integrity of the original findings
  • Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase
  • Provide research guidance and ensure best practices are present in User Testing protocols, hypotheses and logistics to align with intended end-user outcomes
  • Identifies and executes upon opportunities to centralize, and make readily available, testing results and user insights across the organization
  • Works closely with VP, UX and Design to ensure strategic and vision alignment
  • Always considering the best use of testing, with the goal of right-sizing methodologies for expected value of user insights
  • Collaborate; build partner relationships with other leaders across the company, to act as a catalyst for, and amplifier of, change within the organization
  • Works closely with various UX & Design team members, Product Owners, Product Managers, Business Stakeholders and Engineering, to ensure User Testing and Research strategies are clearly articulated, aligned and executed
  • Work closely with the UX & Design leadership team to manage timelines, resources and deliverables in an integrated and balanced manner – driving for optimal research viability and actionable insights
  • Collaborate cross functionally to establish best practices in User Testing methodology that benefit the organization both strategically and practically. Provide internal training across teams (when needed) on identifying, refining, and testing research questions  
  • Take ownership of contemporary Research and Testing methodologies, with an eye on emerging technological opportunities and innovations within the industry

Who You Are: 

  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience conducting research and reporting insights within organizations
  • Experience generating research plans, defining and tracking user experience metrics, coordinating work on multiple products/releases and managing the work of additional resources
  • Proven experience coordinating user research and testing initiatives with stakeholders across multiple departments, disciplines
  • Willingness to take initiative and be creative around gaining insights
  • Experience in articulating a positive vision for teams and contributing to positive conflict resolution
  • Passion for next generation design solutions 
  • Must be a strong collaborator across diverse groups and a creative team builder
  • Solid User-Centered approach to solving needs for User Insights and Design Validation, with demonstrated experience developing actionable insights and strategies
  • Capacity to work well with other creative people: to embrace and work with other ideas
  • Ability to act as a change agent within the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: the right candidate must be able to communicate in writing and/or present in person, User Testing and Research – in any team or stakeholder setting – with passion and confidence

While the role is based in NYC, we are open to candidates who are remote and willing to work in EST and travel to NYC for periodic business meetings.

DeepIntent is proud to offer a competitive compensation package inclusive of a base salary range of $160,000 -$180,000. The base salary range takes into consideration each candidates skills, experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer an annualized bonus/commissions plan and competitive benefits as well as many other company offerings.
