Senior UX Researcher (Onsite - 5 days per week onsite in Irvine, CA)
Overview:
The Senior UX Researcher is responsible for discovering, collecting and conveying insights about the Weedmaps users, through a myriad of methods depending on the project need. The Senior UX Researcher writes usability test plans, surveys, performs interviews, gathers data, uses feedback tools, presents insights to internal teams and provides strategic thinking for the ongoing process of learning about our users. The Senior UX Researcher collaborates with Design, Product, Marketing and other teams, to come up with the best user experience for our customers and users.
We are looking for individuals with a mixed-method background in gathering qualitative and quantitative user data and feedback. You know the right methodology to pair with the specific question at hand.
The impact you'll make:
- Plan, manage and conduct user research in user interactions, accessibility, and usability.
- Create and execute research processes in choosing the best methodology for each research project (qualitative or quantitative)
- Provide strategic thinking for research vision and roadmap.
- Choose and define appropriate metrics that reflect the quality of the user experience, as well the impact of design changes.
- Research target personas and perform user interviews
- Work closely with design and product management teams to identify research topics and distribute learnings
- Plan and implement the overall user research strategy and methods
- Craft actionable and unbiased recommendations based on user learnings.
What you've accomplished:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 8+ years of experience as UX Researcher
- Comfortable launching and iterating quickly and using data
- In-depth understanding of UX/UI design
- Experience with conducting user research
- Experience with qualitative and user-centered design methodologies
- Working knowledge of quantitative, behavioral analysis and statistics
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience collaborating cross functionally
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be comfortable in a fast-moving collaborative organization.
The base pay range for this position is $140,000.00 - $166,000.00
