The Role:

The Head of Design - UI/UX works with Product Management, Product engineers, and Brand/Marketing/Sales to define and guard the direction, vision, and strategy for the User Experience of our Cyberbank Products.

As a people leader, the Head of Design - UI/UX will find the right talent, build, and nurture a collaborative team of UX Specialists that can function at the UX team level and be embedded within different product squads at Technisys. This Head of Design will also cultivate and coach the leaders within the discipline, and provide the assignments, mentorship, and tools to all designers to develop themselves to the best of their ability as designers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Set strategic UX Chapter level vision and objectives, and define and manage the projects to reach these objectives.
  • Ensure continuous collaboration to enhance the overall quality of UX Design.
  • Manage discipline-level planning based on actively gathered UX needs and priorities from PMs & Product delivery Directors.
  • Define, execute, and improve UX Design methods, practices, and principles to achieve the required product UX quality.
  • Initiate workshops and training, and identify useful resources or learning materials for teams and/or individuals.
  • Foster close collaboration and knowledge sharing across the chapter and across disciplines: quality assurance, front-end development & business analysis.
  • Coaching/Mentoring UX Designers to optimize growth and development, quality of design work, productivity, and talent retention. Identify and grow leaders. Optimize resource allocation across the chapter, balancing the needs of both the product and the designers' development.
  • Manage and execute the hiring process of UX/UI Designers or other UX-related roles or (temporary/contracted) resources.
  • Create and curate an effective new hire onboarding process and content.
  • Monitor trends in UX in general as in the spaces related or relevant to CyberBank platform, share insights and expertise.

 

Also responsible for:

  • Toolset & Licenses
  • Way of working guidelines
  • Education and training resources.

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience as Head of UX, UX Director or Senior Lead of a team of min 8 people
  • 10+ years experience in Agile Company with Financial Software Products - or comparable - as Senior/Lead Designer
  • Relevant hands on experience with UX Design, Methods & Practices, Strategy definition, User Research and concept design and definition.
  • Management level experience with / exposure to Banking Software Design & Development.
  • Proficient English (required) & Sufficient Spanish (preferred)
  • International / cross cultural work experience
  • Educated in Design: UX Design, UX Methods & Practices, UX Strategy, UX Research, Concept creation & vision definition
