Job Overview:
We are looking for a talented and experienced UX Designer to join our team. An ideal candidate for this role is someone who is a strong advocate for the customer and who can rapidly produce inventive and thoughtful product experiences that are intuitive for the customer.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in interaction design, HCI, industrial design, graphic design, visual communications, or equivalent
- 7+ years of experience in interaction, product, or UX design
- Software Design Language driven by UX
- Highly skilled with Figma
- Strong portfolio that demonstrates experience designing user-friendly and effective interfaces
- Passion for the craft, staying up-to-date with industry trends and the ability to showcase ideas with the latest design/prototyping tools
- Have a perspective on user experience research and are able to conduct testing
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience
- Rapid prototyping skills
- Couchbase users are Software developers, so experience in designing products for software developers or databases is a plus.
- Exposure to Multi-Cloud platforms & web applications used by developers, specially database developers.
- Curious, fearless, willing to learn
- Have strong communication skills.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced development and deployment environment
Responsibilities:
- Develop user personas, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that effectively communicate design concepts and solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, developers, QA engineers, etc.) to ensure designs are aligned with user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility
- Create detailed design specifications and design guidelines to ensure consistency and maintain design quality
- Continuously improve the user experience by collecting user feedback, analyzing user data, and iterating on design solutions
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and identify user needs
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in UX design and incorporate them into our design process
The anticipated starting base pay range for this role is listed below. Base salary is not the only component of our competitive total rewards package - you may also be eligible for bonus, commissions, equity, and other benefits as described below. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location.
Base Pay Range
$156,000—$195,000 USD
