Kustomer joined Meta’s Business Messaging Group to transform the way people and businesses communicate through modern messaging channels.  In 2023, Kustomer spun out from Meta as a standalone company backed by original partners, Battery, Redpoint and Boldstart Ventures, who have invested $60M in capital, ensuring Kustomer’s growth and success for many years to come.

About the Role

Kustomer helps businesses grow by delivering exceptional customer service via phone, email, chat, text, social, messaging and more. The mission of the team is to build the best business messaging product in the market that enables organizations to quickly and efficiently resolve customer inquiries.

As a Product Designer at Kustomer, you’ll be designing software used by millions of customers every month around the world. If you’ve ever asked “where is my order” and wished the customer service agent already knew who you were then you know what we’re solving for. 

Kustomer reinvented the customer service space with our omni-channel conversation timeline, easy to use APIs and seamless implementation. We’re doubling-down on our work to date and looking to revolutionize the customer service space arena once again using AI, one-click solutions and data connectivity all powered by a state of the art CRM. 

Responsibilities:

  • Partnering closely with the Head of Design and broader product / design team to elevate the design of our core product 

  • Working with product and engineering teams to take an idea from napkin sketch to fully deployed production code 

  • Partnering with our mighty UXR team to advocate for the customer and their needs while putting together plans to power a new generation of customer service

  • Contributing to our design system to ensuring consistency across our product

  • Collaborating with and coordinating efforts across all functions and teams, including Engineering, Sales, Design, QA, Client Services, and Product Marketing

  • Turning customer problems into elegant solutions 

Your qualities: 

  • You realize that communication is as important as the pixels

  • Your bar for “good” design is high. Your understanding of “good enough” is rational

  • You make those around you better

  • You ask the right questions at the right time

  • You’re very strong in 2 of the following 3: UX, UI, or Motion
