Product Designer

Welcome to Jetty, the financial services platform on a mission to make renting a home more affordable and flexible. We’ve built multiple financial products that benefit both renters and property managers - and we’re just getting started.

As we continue to grow and expand our reach, we are looking for a Product Designer with a strong background in UX design to build outstanding digital products and experiences. As a core member of our Product Design team, you’ll work cross-functionally to uncover both external and internal user needs, create visions, build, ship, measure, and iterate on digital products.

You will report to the Senior Manager, Product Design and will contribute to design processes, help build design culture within the organization, and own design initiatives from beginning to end. Role & Responsibilities

• Contribute to product and UX vision: Work with cross-functional teams to help meet  our business goals by utilizing creative, analytical, and strategic product thinking
• Conduct qualitative customer research: Accumulate customer understanding with ongoing user interviews and usability tests. Distill learnings to aid in tactical design decision making, strategic thinking, and the creation of personas, journey maps, storyboards, etc.
• Design holistic end-to-end customer experiences: Design experiences that get people to their goals and naturally fit the broader user journey
• Deliver high-fidelity design assets: Create UI designs that follow UI/UX best practices, utilize Jetty design systems, and acknowledge our technical constraints. 
• Write copy: Write clear and concise product copy that aligns with the Jetty brand voice.
• Learn with analytics: Learn the true impact of your designs by measuring and regularly tuning into analytics. Reflect, hypothesize, and bring those learnings into your next designs.
• Strengthen our design culture: Spread design thinking and customer insights across Jetty and beyond by sharing within the organization, giving internal presentations, writing blog posts, etc.

Experience & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a Product/UX/Interaction Design role
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate remotely with stakeholders across the organization
• Strong user empathy and the desire to be an advocate for user needs
• Track record of utilizing qualitative and quantitative research outputs to drive design and product strategy
• Strong analytical capabilities and business judgment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Mastery of Figma, Sketch, or other modern design tool
• Technical understanding of how modern web and mobile apps are built
