PlayOn! Sports is looking for a talented Senior UX Designer to help revolutionize the high school space, completely rethinking and transforming our consumer websites. This role will help influence the product strategy, ensures user value is created, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to design and deliver valuable products and experiences in the high school sports space. As a Senior User-Experience Designer, you will be a direct contributor to product design, the growth of the design culture, and a key evangelist of User-Centered Design throughout the organization.

Additional responsibilities and accountabilities for this role include:

• Facilitate customer interviews, user research and synthesize the resulting data that drives our applications

• Design solutions that use current best practices in usability and interaction design, and leverage both responsive and device-native approaches 

• Create scalable designs that can accommodate the growth of our user base and evolving business needs, ensuring a consistent and cohesive experience across different devices and platforms

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and content, to ensure a seamless and consistent user experience across platforms

• Create new deliverables with little to no oversight, including sketches and storyboards 

• Lead and monitor UX research, usability testing sessions and lead Design Thinking exercises or workshops to generate product-led outcomes 

• Work closely with product managers and engineers to define product requirements and ensure feasibility of designs

• Mentor and guide a team of designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering their professional growth

• Think holistically to solve product and design decisions

 

• Portfolio of work in B2C, demonstrating experience creating exceptional user experiences across complex systems on multiple platforms, including mobile. 

• Ability to clearly and effectively present ideas, research findings, sketches, and other deliverables to integral lines of business 

• Minimum 7-10 years proven UX experience. 

• Extreme attention to detail with focus on efficiency 

• Proven ability to drive project work streams and deliverables with little to no oversight 

• Proven ability to clearly communicate design ideas to team members and product lines in live presentations 

• Expert knowledge with tools and applications that support UX deliverables, such as Figma, research creation tools and common UX applications 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Bachelors or Masters in Design, a plus 

• In-depth understanding of software usability heuristics and guidelines 

• Experience designing for native mobile (iOS or Android) platforms is a plus
