The Team

Celonis’ product design is part of the Product & Engineering team; We made it our mission to design and deliver consumer-grade experiences and empower everybody in companies to use process mining and the Celonis Execution Management System. As designers and researchers, we work at the intersection of product design, business, and engineering to deliver usable and valuable solutions to our global customers. 

The Role 

As a Senior Product Designer, Data, you will design for technical users, mainly Data Engineers and Analysts, to conceptualize process models and to establish and scale real-time data pipeline connections to these processes, enabling them to drive value with the EMS platform. You will work with Product Managers, other Designers, and UX researchers, collect user requirements, and run workshops with stakeholders to translate them into user journeys, wireframes, and development-ready, validated mockups. 

The work you’ll do

As a Senior Product Designer, Data, you are both a problem solver, who supports Product Managers in finding the right solutions to given problems, as well as a skilled and creative interaction designer who specifies UX and UI requirements, designs and prototypes components and interactions, and works together with engineers to bring them to life. 

You will own the user experience of the Data Integration product. You will work with UX Researchers to understand the larger context of how our customers integrate their data, what challenges data engineers and analysts face in their day-to-day with Celonis, how business users consume that data, and you will find holistic solutions for specific problems. 

As a Senior Product Designer, Data, you will be responsible for everything from concept to user interface design. You will work closely with engineers to ensure the best possible experience for our users. 

The qualifications you need

  • University degree in fields such as Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Design, Communication Design, Engineering, Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a UX/UI Designer, working on technically complex products or enterprise software
  • Firm grasp of interaction design, data visualization, usability engineering and testing, and Gestalt principles. Proven track record of elevating product usability through impactful design enhancements.
  • Exceptional communication skills to eloquently articulate design concepts, logically present rationales to diverse stakeholders, and influence decision-making.
  • Proficiency in effectively utilizing Figma across multiple design stages - encompassing wireframing, high-fidelity designs, prototyping, testing, and specification/documentation. Additionally, familiarity with working alongside design components.
  • A keen eye for visual design and aesthetics, ensuring visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.  And hands-on experience in crafting interactive data visualizations is a notable plus.
  • Empathy towards the user, combined with a deep understanding of user-centered design, and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Fluent in English with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • A collaborative team player characterized by a proactive and self-initiated attitude.
  • Strong and diverse portfolio showcasing design capabilities, problem-solving skills, and relevant UX/UI projects.
