Who We Are:

We are a new gaming studio that is part of the NetEase games family. You will join a formative team that is creating a new, innovative game title and you will have the rare opportunity to participate in the development of the title from concept to release. With a new studio recently announced in Barcelona in addition to the full complement of remote work options, you will have the opportunity to do the best work of your career in a supportive and dynamic work environment.

We're looking for a Lead UI/UX Designer to help us build the future of mind-blowing video game entertainment for a new, innovative 3D action title.

If you have a passion for designing and establishing strong UI/UX Design and communicating it well to the team to ensure consistency across all aspects of the game, then we'd love for you to work with us in building an incredible new game world together.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the UI Design team, ensuring that all projects are
    delivered on time and to a high standard.

 

  • Develop and maintain a user-centered design process that integrates user research, usability testing, and design thinking principles.

 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute a comprehensive user experience strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and objectives.

 

  • Oversee and design the wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and other design artifacts that effectively communicate design concepts and solutions to stakeholders.

 

  • Ensure that all designs are accessible and meet the highest standards of usability and user satisfaction.

 

  • Monitor user feedback and analytics data to identify opportunities for improvements and enhancements to the user experience.

 

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in user experience design and gaming industry developments.

 

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the user experience design team and across the organization.


Desired Qualifications:

 

  • 7+ years of experience in UI Design, including 2-4 years of experience leading/managing a team of UI/UX Designers and Artists.

 

  • Experience implementing high quality AAA level UI Design utilizing Unreal Engine 4/5

 

  • Strong understanding of visual fidelity, UI/UX design principles, and UI/UX layouts.

 

  • Have shipped at least one (1) AAA Level game

 

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user experience design, interaction design, and visual design

 

Relocation to Barcelona is preferred, but remote work within the EU is an available as well.
