Description

Are you an experienced mid-weight Product Designer who enjoys the autonomy of leading UX/UI projects from start to finish? If you're a self-motivated and curious person with an eye for visual interaction and a strong understanding of user-centred design principles, we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking for someone who can seamlessly blend user experience and interface design, an autonomous thinker who's not afraid to bring fresh and best-practice ideas to the table and lead the design of our digital products and platforms. About us

We are Canvas8, a strategic insights practice operating out of London, NY, LA, & Singapore. We help our clients understand people so they can make better business decisions.

Our work is about investigating the hidden insights in everyday life – from the psychology of boredom to teenage make-up rituals to why Barbiecore is a Gen Y thing – and making them meaningful for brands. Our team is a blend of different disciplines and skills – from psychology to journalism, and anthropology to behavioural economics. What unites them is a desire to understand people and a passion for delivering outstanding work.

About the role

You will be responsible for developing the user experiences and interfaces of our digital products; from our website to our online platform. You will collaborate with the design, brand, technical development and editorial teams to ensure that our products are designed with the user in mind to meet our product goals and ambitions.

As the Product Designer (UX/UI), you will drive the decision making when it comes to delivering the most effective user experiences, investigating and researching trends in user behaviour to suggest design solutions and nurture your expertise. You will also act as a brand guardian for our digital presence, collaborating with your design team, to ensure that web designs are consistent with our brand guidelines and enhance our online visual communication.

Day-to-day

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to communicate your design concepts to stakeholders
  • Develop design systems and style guides to ensure consistency and scalability across our digital products
  • Define how users interact with our products and website
  • Collaborate with developers to ideate solutions and scope feasibility
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure the design aligns with the overall goals
