Description

As the leader of User Experience & Design at Veson Nautical you will play a critical role in defining and delivering a world-class user experience to users of our products. The work of your team will impact thousands of users that are using our products to run their business worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Establish frameworks, principles, and passions within Veson that lay groundwork for unparalleled user experience in our solutions
  • Work Closely with Product Managers and Engineers to ensure that our users can execute complex workflows in the most efficient manner
  • Establish patterns and processes within the product offering that ensure users across multiple roles have a consistent and purposeful experience
  • Engage with your users to gather feedback and validate future concepts that are being introduced to our platform
  • Leverage data paired with direct user feedback to plan improvements to workflow, interaction with our company, and overall product aesthetic
  • Mentor team members to evangelize design thinking throughout the company
  • Manage a team of designers with vary experience levels

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Experience leading and building a User Experience and Design team that has stakeholders that are globally distributed is required
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the role that the User Experience & Design team plays within the software development lifecycle
  • History of successfully deploying User Experience and Design testing methodologies to validate small and large-scale changes
  • Previous experience building and deploying an enterprise level design System and process

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements

  • Hands-on creative and systems thinker with strong UX/UI/IA design expertise
  • A proven track record that demonstrates an ability to spread design thinking throughout an organization
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • Emphasizes and enables use of data to drive decisions and direction
  • Excels at working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across all departments within the organization
  • Ability to prioritize and align team and processes to prioritized initiatives
  • Pragmatism and the ability to lead complex projects is required
  • Must have a player/coach hands-on approach to work
