UX Designer

Bit Reactor

Bit Reactor is looking for a UX Designer to join our Star Wars project and help create an intuitive, approachable, and accessible User Experience. You will be working with the UI/UX Lead designing wireframes for a wide variety of game systems and screens and will work with a team of UI artists and engineers to implement the design.

Responsibilities

  • Work from design documents and create wireframes and grey box prototypes.
  • Work with gameplay designers and UI engineers to ensure the UX design and in-game implementation provides the required functionality while maintaining a high level of usability.
  • Work with the UI/UX Lead to design interaction patterns that are intuitive and versatile, and that can be leveraged throughout the game.
  • Manage and maintain library of UX assets
  • Work with UX Researchers to help design player test plans and gather feedback to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Shipped at least one title as UI/UX Designer.
  • 5+ years experience creating UI/UX for games or relevant industry.
  • Expertise in UX design principles.
  • Proficiency in iconography and graphic design.
  • Proficiency in 2D software packages (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).

Bonus

  • Proficiency in typography, layout, color theory, and composition.
  • Experience in motion graphics.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine or similar.
  • Familiarity with Figma

Candidates will be expected to provide a portfolio or demo reel of their work and may be asked to complete an art test.

Bit Reactor prefers to hire candidates who are willing to relocate to Hunt Valley, Maryland, but is open to remote options.
