Description
The ManageBac division of Faria Education Group is looking for an experienced and talented Senior UX/UI Designer to join our dynamic team in building the leading IB learning management system.
ManageBac is the leading online planning, assessment, and reporting platform for IB World Schools, supporting over 140,000 educators in 130 countries for over 15 years. By providing schools with one unified system on a consistent, modern, and mobile-ready interface, ManageBac offers a seamless & integrated experience for coordinators, teachers, students, and parents for the full IB continuum.
The ideal candidate should have a strong user experience, interface design background, and a deep understanding of Web and Mobile Design.
Responsibilities:
- Apply a deep understanding of web design principles (HTML, CSS) and mobile design principles (Material Design, HIG) to create user-centered interfaces that are not only visually appealing but also technically feasible and optimized for various devices.
- Create multiple prototypes in Figma for the feature according to the given requirements.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and support teams for seamless collaboration throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Continuously validate the delivery of design decisions and be proactive, ensuring the design philosophy is followed.
- Continuously evaluate the current state of the product, escalate inconsistencies, and propose improvements.
Requirements
Design Expertise
- UX Design. Strong understanding of UX principles, including user research, information architecture, and interaction design. HCD/UCD methodologies.
- UI Design. Proficiency in visual design, layout, and interaction patterns to create aesthetically pleasing and functional interfaces.
- Design systems implementation or maintenance to ensure UI/UX consistency across large applications.
Technical Knowledge
- Web Design principles and constraints (HTML, CSS, Responsiveness, Accessibility)
- Mobile Design principles and constraints (Material Design, HIG)
- Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle and an ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
- Proficiency in Figma or similar tools. Experience with Components, Constraints, Autolayout, Breakpoints plugin, etc.
Communication and Teamwork skills
- Effective communication with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Ability to present design concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Will be a plus:
- Educational Tech SaaS product experience
- Experience in making mockups with HTML/CSS/Bootstrap
- Experience with Storybook
