We're looking for a talented Product Designer to help us design our internal and external facing digital products and websites. Let’s talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role:
- Craft visual design explorations daily with the team, creating flows, UX designs UI / visual designs, prototypes & design systems using Figma.
- Working alongside product managers to understand the requirements.
- Engage with a cross-disciplinary team to contribute the conceptualization, design and specification of innovative consumer digital products.
- Create design mockups at high quality with fast turnaround and iterate quickly to visualize and evolve design solutions.
- Distill complex concepts and quickly turn around rigorous flows, mockups, prototypes and presentation decks reflecting a range of simple, elegant and technically-feasible designs.
- Collaborate with other product, interaction, UX designers, and researchers to come up with the best solutions for our customers and consumers.
- Work closely with software development team to support prototyping activities with visual design mockups/assets to capture and resolve bugs, including resolution of UX design inconsistencies, incorrect or missing graphic resources, etc.
- Conduct user experience and usability research using Maze, usertesting.com and in-person / on video interviews.
- Be prepared to quickly grow into increased responsibility and autonomy as you demonstrate skills and reliability.
Skills and Qualifications Required for this Dynamic Team Member:
- BA/BS Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Design, User Interface Design, Architecture Design, Video Game Design, a design bootcamp certification and/or equivalent experience in industry.
- 5+ years of experience impacting digital product design at a B2B and/or B2C organization.
- Figma experience required
- Experience in UX, UI / Visual design and development, shipping products and developing strong visual design concept work.
- Online portfolio revealing thought process and an ability to rapidly generate creative ideas with samples of original UX / UI / Product design.
- Appropriate level of knowledge of visual, typographic, grid system and interaction design disciplines and principles.
- Strive to produce sophisticated designs, layouts and typography.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite of applications.
- Ability to act independently and be resourceful in approach to problem solving.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, delivering high value support to the team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and work on multiple projects simultaneously when required.
- Desire and track record of setting goals & surpassing them.
- Proficiency in all standard Office computer programs, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
A Few Other Items Worth Mentioning:
- This position will be based in our Newport Beach office (Hybrid T-Th onsite)
- This position reports directly to the Executive Director, Product Design
- Travel required up to 5%
Compensation & Total Rewards:
The pay range for this position is $127,800 to $166,100. Your actual base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on a number of considerations including but not limited to role relevant knowledge and skills, experience, education, certifications, and more.
