Your future contribution:

As a UX Researcher at Smoobu, you will essentially be the hosts' advocate, ensuring that we always consider their inputs and needs during the planning, design, and development process. You will work closely with designers, product managers, data analysts, and business developers, performing usability tests as well as market research, uncovering new opportunities to continue improving our product and growing our reach.

 

The vacation rental industry is a complex business built on trust. Operating this business is a challenging task for every property owner. You will help us simplify the complexity to become the most loved host community in the world by leveraging and improving all the amazing features Smoobu has to offer.

 

How you’ll add value:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and developers, to incorporate user insights into the product development process. It's always a team effort.
  • Plan and conduct user research to understand user behaviors, needs, and motivations through various methods. 
  • Create and maintain user personas, user journeys, insights repository and other relevant artifacts to guide design decisions.
  • Work independently and own the research process end to end, from designing the research strategy to analyzing performance and results.
  • Identify opportunities and help us focus on what will get us the best results in the most efficient way.
  • Keep up with the industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX research to ensure we implement best practices. 

 

You’ll be successful in this role if you:

  • Have 3+ years of experience in conducting user research to understand user behaviors, needs, and motivations through methods such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
  • Are able to work with efficiency and independence, consistently delivering results on time and maintaining a commitment to high-quality standards.
  • Are an user advocate, ensuring we always consider the user's needs when developing the product.
  • Curious about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX research.
  • Are good at prioritizing opportunities, ensuring that we focus on what will get us the best effort to impact ratio.
  • Are fluent and able to conduct research in French as a plus. 
  • Have experience in using Data tools and being the only Researcher in a small team as an advantage.
