To help us define the future of storytelling on mobile, we are looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer (Temp) on the Storytelling New Projects team which develops games and projects focused on narrative storytelling and character building. You will help drive the design and implementation of a new set of visual storytelling tools for our internal team and players to use to bring their stories to life in a fun and easy way, as well as be a thought partner as we explore the best ways to introduce our players to great new stories and top content.

What You’ll Do:
- Lead the charge and be hands on in the creation of intuitive responsive designs across multiple platforms (iPhone, Android, Web, Mobile web)
- Design easy to use tools for complex information- and interaction-heavy visual storytelling
- Work self directed with little supervision to create various iterations of UI/UX opportunities to solve problems
- Be comfortable working in a prototype phase of development that can scale up to full production
- Clearly depict your design using whatever tools necessary, including but not limited to interactive prototypes, hi-fidelity mock-ups or wireframes
- Able to simplify and communicate complex systems and interactions clearly
- Work with product management, engineers and other members of cross functional teams to refine and implement designs and user interfaces into a final product
- Create and contribute to product UI style guides
- Organize and host comprehensive user testing sessions, and summarize findings and action items
What You Bring to the Design team:
- 5+ Years experience in UI/UX design for user-facing tools and applications.
- Experience with Adobe Suite or Figma and interactive prototyping tools (e.g. Axure, Invision, Proto.io, Pixate)
- Have built interactive prototypes, flow-charts, wireframes, and hi-fidelity mockups
- Have worked on multiple platforms and understand responsive design on each (e.g., phone, tablet, desktop)
- Have a passion for stories, media platforms, and/or empowering people to create
- Love working in a collaborative and iterative environment, with skilled designers, developers, and product leads
- Have the ability to organize information simply and elegantly
- Quickly come up with new visual treatments as well as adapting to established styles
Extra Gems For:
- Experience working with mobile applications
- BA/BS in interactive design, graphic arts, human factors, computer science or related field with equivalent experience
- 3D experience/capabilities
The range provided below is Pocket Gems’ reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as location, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. In addition, this position is eligible for annual performance bonuses and equity.
