Our teams are spread between Asia and Europe. You’re welcome to work remotely from anywhere within the Asia timezone, with at least 4 hours overlap with the people you’d be working closely with.

About the role:

This is the role for you, if you’re excited to work on the things listed below:

  • Prioritize research initiatives throughout the product’s lifecycle, from problem discovery to solution validation.
  • Work with stakeholders to clarify research needs, help the team ask the right questions, and draft research proposals.
  • Use diverse qualitative and quantitative research methods to understand our users’ minds. That includes but is not limited to, surveys, interviews, contextual inquiry, card sorting, tree testing, usability testing, participatory design workshops, diary studies, competitor analysis, and literature review.
  • Turn research findings into actionable insights. Share them creatively with diverse audiences to foster empathy and inspire change.
  • Ensure all research activities comply with ethical standards and respect user privacy.

The skills you will need to be successful in the above:

  • 2+ years of working experience in UX research
  • Empathetic, genuine, curious, and open-minded.
  • Self-motivated and self-managing, with strong organizational skills.
  • A great storyteller capable of explaining and getting buy-ins on your thought process and vision
  • An avid note-taker who takes notes everywhere
  • A strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods. Experienced in balancing and trade-off between smart, scrappy research and rigor.
  • Experiences in AI, education, productivity tools, accessibility, human factors, or product design are not required but are a huge plus.
  • Having an interest and appetite for AI, pedagogy, and cognitive psychology concepts is required.

Even if you don’t meet the above criteria, we would still love to hear from you!

The interview process:

  • A screening call with your hiring manager. They want to hear more about your background, experience, skillset, and what you are looking for. This is the person who will be managing you day-to-day and supporting you throughout your career at Goodnotes.
  • A role-specific call with two of our designers and researchers with whom you’d be working closely. You will share your experience and skillset in more detail.
