About the role

We are seeking an experienced UX Researcher to join our consumer product team. UX research is a critical part of our product development lifecycle and ensures that we are continually building products and features that our users love. This UX Researcher position would support research projects for our two mobile apps - Klover and Frisbee and would work with the product and design teams. We are seeking someone who is proactive, collaborative, and able to bring their ideas to the table regarding how we gather valuable customer insights to inform our products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in applied product research where you have been the leader on multiple quantitative and qualitative user research projects
  • Demonstrated experience conducting user research that informs product development within consumer mobile apps
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, Human factors or related field with 3+ years experience OR advanced degree (Masters/PhD) with 2+ years experience 
  • Experience with both generative/evaluative methodologies (both in-person/remote and moderated/unmoderated) including but not limited to contextual inquiries, interviews, surveys and usability testing
  • Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply each
  • Proficiency in communicating both qualitative and quantitative user research findings with cross functional partners to drive impact
  • Ability to deliver on multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • You are collaborative, flexible, self-motivated and can work independently

What a typical week might look like

  • Proactively identify and prioritize research needs by working closely with Product, Design, Engineering, Data and Marketing
  • Build research plans using various research methodologies, with a strong understanding of strengths & shortcomings of appropriate research applications
  • Be responsible for the end-to-end research process including recruiting, conducting, collecting, synthesizing and reporting
  • Analyze user behaviors and insights to compile and present concise and actionable recommendations
  • Support one-off user research projects for other teams like our B2B product and our marketing partners
  • Advocate and share research findings to to drive a culture of user-centered thinking company-wide
