THE ROLE

We are seeking a UX Designer who is passionate about improving healthcare through intuitive and accessible technology solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of user-centred design principles, possess a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects, and work well as part of a team.

The primary responsibilities will include:

  • User Research: Conduct user research to understand the needs, preferences, and pain points of healthcare professionals, patients, and other stakeholders.
  • UX Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define UX strategies that align with business goals and user needs.
  • Wireframing and Prototyping: Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows to visualise and communicate design concepts effectively.
  • UI Design: Collaborate with our clinical and customer teams and developers to create visually appealing and cohesive user interfaces that adhere to brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
  • Usability Testing: Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to gather feedback and iterate on design solutions.
  • Accessibility: Ensure that all designs comply with accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG) to provide an inclusive user experience.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX design and healthcare to continuously improve design processes and solutions.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

A successful applicant will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in UX design, with a focus on web applications, as well as:

  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions to stakeholders.
  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and analysing feedback to inform design decisions.
  • Strong preference will be given to applicants with experience working in the healthcare technology industry.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies is a plus.
