About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled UI/UX designer with experience in designing consumer apps that have achieved significant scale. The ideal candidate should have a strong portfolio showcasing their ability to create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces and engaging user experiences. You will be that person who would own the design innovations for product features that would be launched to our customers. 

Roles and responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and user needs.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that effectively communicate design ideas and user flows.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to iterate and improve designs.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure designs are implemented accurately and meet usability standards.
• Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and design tools to continually improve design processes and outcomes.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles and contribute to a culture of design excellence within the organization.

Experience and qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a focus on consumer apps.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch or similar.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
• Experience with user research methods, usability testing, and data-driven design decisions.
• Experience with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript will be an added advantage
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions to stakeholders.
• Portfolio demonstrating a range of UI/UX design projects, including examples of projects that have achieved scale and positive user feedback.
