Codazen is looking for a UX/UI Intern to assist with auditing existing websites. By focusing on these areas listed below, you will contribute to improving the overall user experience and effectiveness of websites for potential customers, ultimately helping them achieve their business objectives.
As a UX/UI intern your job duties might include:
- Website Auditing: Conducting thorough evaluations of existing websites to assess brand consistency, design usability, feature enhancements, and accessibility.
- rand Consistency Analysis: Ensuring that the website's design elements, color schemes, typography, and imagery align with the brand's identity and guidelines.
- Usability Testing: Identifying areas where user experience can be improved by testing website functionalities and interactions with a focus on ease of use and intuitive navigation.
- Feature Enhancement Recommendations: Providing suggestions for enhancing website features to improve user engagement, conversion rates, and overall user satisfaction.
- Accessibility Evaluation: Assessing the website's compliance with accessibility standards such as WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) to ensure inclusivity for users with disabilities.
- Report Generation: Compiling detailed audit reports summarizing findings, recommendations, and actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Working closely with UX/UI designers, developers, and project managers to implement recommended changes and improvements based on audit findings.
- Research and Analysis: Staying updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and user behavior patterns through research and analysis to inform audit assessments and recommendations.
- Documentation: Maintaining documentation of audit processes, methodologies, and outcomes for reference and future analysis.
- Continuous Learning: Actively seeking feedback, learning opportunities, and mentorship to enhance skills and knowledge in UX/UI design and website auditing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Computer Science or UX/UI Bootcamp
- Understanding of UX/UI principles and practices
- Understanding of ADA compliance/accessibility
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passionate about user centered design principles
- Microsoft office suite
- Collaborative and have the ability to work with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of web design best practices a plus
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship
- Local to Irvine, Ca. Or commutable distance
- Available to work on-site 3 days a week at our Irvine office for 10–12-week internship
