Overview of Role
66degrees is looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to join our rapidly growing Solution Consulting team. The Senior UX/UI Designer must have an eye for creative design, a mindset for business outcomes and user-centric product development, and a passion for concepts like mobility, human computer interaction, and data visualization. The position will involve delivering concept-to-completion design services (including requirements gathering, wireframes, high fidelity mockups, storyboards, and prototypes) across multiple programs. Our team offers creative consulting services to Fortune 500 clients, creating intuitive and highly usable user interfaces and user experiences that meet complex project requirements.
Additionally, the Senior UI/UX Designer will be largely focused on product development, delivering across the entire design process, and should be ready and willing to bring creative problem solving to design challenges like product enhancements, feature additions, etc.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery workshops to capture business requirements, success criteria, and constraints
- Conduct user research and user interviews
- Take broad, conceptual ideas and user requirements, and turn them into highly usable designs
- Work closely with product, development, and engineering teams to validate design solutions, and participate in iterative product enhancement cycles
- Create new concepts, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes based on internal requirements and creative briefs
- Establish visual and interactive standards documentation, and work with the development team to ensure that designs fit the technical specifications of the product or application
- Cultivate an understanding of industry trends and regularly use this information. Must be eager to give and receive feedback from other designers and product team members.
- Develop and maintain style guides and asset libraries to support web and mobile interface design
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a UI Designer, Product Designer, Interactive Designer or similar role. Experience designing for mobile environments is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of web, mobile, and interactive design principles including layout, grid systems, information design and typography.
- Online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions for web and mobile applications. Prior experience with user dashboards or analytical applications is a huge advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to articulate strategies to clients.
- Up-to-date knowledge of web and mobile trends and technology, and thorough understanding of interface design and usability standards.
- Strong conceptual skills and proven ability to create rapid wireframes/mockups and prototypes.
- Software experience with the following:
- Figma and/or Sketch.
- Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Photoshop, InDesign, Illustration
- Prototyping tools, such as Invision or prototyping within Figma.
- Experience with MicroStrategy, Looker, Tableau, or other analytical platforms is a plus.
- Organized, self motivated and proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing and managing work against project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a Creative/Visual design related field or equivalent work experience.
