Junior UX Designer for Cyber Defense Platform
Location: Remote in the United States

BlueVoyant is seeking a Junior User Experience (UX) Designer to join our growing Cyber Defense Platform design team focused on helping deliver an intuitive user experience for our customer-facing portal. As a Junior UX Designer, you will collaborate with engineers, product managers, the client success team, and other stakeholders to craft intuitive and interactive interfaces. In doing so, you will help our users understand and navigate critical systems used to identify and resolve security risks. We are looking for someone who excels at working collaboratively with key stakeholders, is comfortable giving and receiving actionable feedback, and prioritizes the user in every step of the design process.

Requirements
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative user research and deliver representative research artifacts
- Conduct user validation sessions and incorporate learnings into concepts and designs
- Deliver UX Artifacts and documentation, including user flows, low-fidelity wireframes, interaction schematics, low and high-fidelity prototypes, and final design specifications
- Facilitate design reviews throughout the design cycle
- Conduct user acceptance testing to ensure results meet defined criteria
- 1-3 years of experience in UX design, or equivalent training
- understanding of user-centered design principles
- knowledge of user research practices and when/where to apply them
- eagerness in learning how to work cross-functionally with adjacent teams
- the ability to translate complex requirements into action items, and execute on them
- an understanding of the capabilities of coworking teams, and how to collaborate effectively
- the ability to create wireframes with meticulous attention to detail that can stand on their own, with quality high enough for client demos, and careful precision for implementation by engineering
- Knowledge of accessibility in design, and application of best practices (e.g., 508 compliance, ADA compliance)
- a fundamental understanding of user experience role in the software development lifecycle
- experience implementing UX best practices in customer-facing portals and data visualizations
- experience working in an Agile environment
