About the Team
We are a team of Product Managers and UX Designers who are responsible for maximizing the value delivered to our customers on the Subsplash platform. Our platform includes products like Media, Giving, Events, People, Apps, and Websites, which our customers use to create experiences for their end users. Our status as a content platform creates a unique set of challenges for our team, demanding that we keep both the client and end-user experience in mind in our designs, planning, and strategy. We focus on empathizing with our customers and their users to identify their problems and pain points and ensure that we deliver high-value, delightfully simple solutions. We fight against complexity and aim to create simple, thoughtful, and crafted experiences that solve those problems.
About the Role
As a UX Designer II at Subsplash, you have a unique opportunity to help millions of real people become more engaged with their church by leveraging your creative problem solving skills. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is excited to solve real user problems through an iterative approach. You will be responsible for building compelling user experiences for people to engage with their church and for our clients to manage their church’s content.

- Develop a deep understanding of our products and product development process.
- Make contributions and help direct the build-out of our internal design system.
- Own all of the design aspects of a project and see it through to production.
Your Priorities
- Design and prototype elegant solutions for mobile and web apps
- Partner with product managers on product strategy and definition
- Identify user needs, sketch solutions with prototypes, test ideas with UX researchers, and refine designs with data and user feedback
- Document detailed interaction models and UI specifications
- Collaborate with other designers to maintain design consistency and coherence across the features on Subsplash products
- Manage and prioritize a workload of multiple projects from concept to completion
- Evangelize best UX practices to other designers, engineers, and product managers
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of relevant UX design experience
- BA degree in Interaction Design, Information Design, Visual Design, HCI or related field
- Ability to create usable and compelling experiences through a user-centered design process
- Excelling in end-to-end product design which includes user research, wireframing, prototyping, application of design patterns, and visual design.
- Thinking about design as a system, and ability to contribute to and maintain our pattern library as a way to influence both quality and efficiency for all our products.
- A belief that feedback is a gift, you actively seek it out, and give it thoughtfully in order to continually raise the quality of the experience
- Able to provide a portfolio that demonstrates expert use of typography, color, imagery, grid systems, and well-crafted animation/transitions
- Being a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has the desire to lead
- Having a deep appreciation and natural eye for clean and beautiful aesthetics
- Able to provide a portfolio that demonstrates sound product thinking through navigation, user flows, interaction design and information architecture
Compensation
- The overall compensation (base salary + bonus) for this role will be between $80,000 - 110,000/yr.
Location
Subsplash currently has operations in 24 states across the US! As much as we would love to have employees in as many states and countries as we have clients, we are currently limiting hiring to the states we already operate in. As a result of that, this role is only available as a 100% remote position if you reside in one of the following states:
AL, AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, IA, KS, MO, MI, NC, NM, OK, OH, OR, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WY.
Unfortunately, if you do not reside in one of these states, we are unable to consider your application.

This position is classified as Full-time/Non-Exempt and therefore is eligible for overtime pay.
