Built AI is creating an AI-powered platform that will enable real estate investors to make the best data driven investment decisions. We aim to become the leading platform for every player in the property space, providing insights on the characteristics of micro-locations as well as macro trends.

Our cloud-based B2B SAAS platform provides investors a better way to make property decisions, through a combination of street level data insights, fast & powerful financial modelling and machine learning that learns from deal history to improve future decisions.  We are currently UK focused with plans to expand to the US and Europe.

Role Description

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to support our rapid growth. As the Senior Product Designer at Built AI, you will be accountable for every feature you design.

From the very first sketch & test through to implementation & analysis, you’ll guide all stages of the design process and ensure they are meeting the users’ needs and are of the highest quality. 

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Engineers, and data scientists, to deliver exceptional user experiences that align with our vision and goals.  

Day to day responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for the full design process from collaborative research, idea conception, testing, full journey specs and developer collaboration, through to UX measurement of the launched product.

• Design customer journeys, create prototypes, user test and measure the success of potential product launches.

• Nurture consistency across different pieces of design work and strengthen the bar we set for the quality of our collective output.

• Help define and deliver products that are enjoyable to use with a high level of craft and attention to detail.

• Work collaboratively to manage and improve our scalable design system that meets product and business goals.

• Carry out user research through a range of qualitative and quantitative methods to understand the user experience.

• Identify key success metrics of the product, monitor their performance and measure their success from a customer and business perspective.

• Work closely with the leadership team to align on goals, priorities, direction, and feedback.

• Document and maintain pattern libraries and style guides, updating as we evolve.

• Review the performance of the release, identify learnings, and suggest ways to shape the future product.

• Be aware of competitor features, current design trends, user experience best practices and use these to grow and improve the product. 

There will be opportunities to take on additional responsibility and career development as the business grows.

Who we are looking for: 

A swiss army knife. We’re looking for an ambitious all-rounder that is willing to work directly with Firoz (Co-founder and Chief Product and Operating Officer) on strategic and operational tasks in a really hands-on way.

Desired experience and skills:

• Proven ability to work in an early stage startup environment working with financial oriented or complex B2B platforms

• Experience working on 0-1 products, designing and building from the start, as well as iterating on existing features

• Comfortable working with data, and using complex data sets to manipulate screens and views 

• Experience working with and creating user friendly experiences for AI and ML powered products 

• You enjoy thinking through complex product challenges and care about solving the right problem.

• Comfortable creating low fidelity prototypes to validate hypotheses before developing them into high fidelity designs to develop

• You have a well-trained eye for exceptional visual design/UI execution. You care about getting things right - one pixel off is a big deal.

• Take a strategic view to everything you do - your work stands the test of time.

• Great at communicating your thinking and design decisions - you’re able to get people along on the journey with you.

• Able to work autonomously but also thrive working in a cross functional team

• Are well versed at working with disciplines in your work to achieve the best outcome, such as user research, content, and engineering.

• Experience using, owning and helping to maintain a design system.

• Be an advocate for design, with an understanding and ability to articulate how it helps reach business goals.

• The ability to think at a high level about product strategy and clearly articulate design decisions.

• A high level of technical competence in design industry tools including Figma, Miro, UserTesting and Adobe products
