Step into the vibrant world of Headout's Product Design team—a collective of agile and creative minds dedicated to shaping cutting-edge products. As our UX Writer, your collaboration with cross-functional teams will be pivotal in building a global travel platform, curating experiences that users trust for their unforgettable moments.

In this role, you will lead UX writing initiatives right from the word go and while you are at it, elevate the standards of writing throughout the team. There is a company-wide eagerness to drive strategy through carefully curated copywriting and you are expected to be the face of it. 

Dive into a world where your words shape the user experience from the very start, steering our UX writing ship towards new horizons. With artfully crafted copy kicking off the guests’ journey on the Headout platform and to unique experiences thereafter, you are set to be the guiding star!

đŸ€© What makes this role special?

  • Collaboration: You’ll be an integral stakeholder in the end-to-end design process collaborating with designers, product managers, and developers to craft innovative, strategically sound on-brand UX copy solutions.
  • High Ownership: You’ll be the guardian of consistency in the brand’s tone and voice across all design front, from error states to success criteria. You won’t just be a cookie-cutter who’s here to make cosmetic changes.
  • High Impact Role: You’ll foster an understanding that UX writing is a significant part of the customer experience, and work closely with design to ensure that text and visuals achieve perfect harmony
  • Hands-on experience: You’ll create a range of quirky and creative content for interaction flows, emails, product tours, and style guides, that enhances and elevates our customer experiences across app and web. 
  • Quality Focused: You’ll be spending time with Accessibility, QA, Legal, and Localization specialists to ensure content appears properly for every audience.

💝 What skills & experience do you need?

  • You’re A Powerhouse: You bring with you a high-impact portfolio of relevant work samples with a UX focus; including problems you helped solve for, your contributions, and the impact created on customers, bringing with you a minimum of 4-5 years of relevant writing experience in UX / Tech / Product Marketing roles.
  • You’re An Innovator: A master of the Engligh language, a knack for engaging copywriting and a sharp understanding of UX principles, you sculpt the voice of our products. Your exceptional copy doesn't just tell a story—it's a strategic player in our business, making every touchpoint a deliberate stride towards a meaningful user experience.
  • You’re A Negotiator: You can prove your ability to present to all levels within Headout, both verbally and in writing along with the ability to juggle multiple changing priorities in an ambiguous, start-up environment.
  • You’re a High Flyer: You can craft quirky, whimsical and memorable UX copy and create the most impact in the least amount of words, displaying a strong sense of autonomy and a sniper-like precision when it comes to creating the right UX copy with minimal to no back and forth.

Bonus Points

  • You have proficiency in writing copy in other international languages 
  • You’re experienced in working with a CMS, and creating documentation for technical/digital products.
  • You have prior experience working with data: tracking it, understanding how to gain insights from it, and creating actions based on that information.
