We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our team in Austin, Texas. You will play a pivotal role in translating user insights into functional, delightful, and user-friendly experiences. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, visual designers, and developers, to design innovative solutions that address real healthcare challenges. Your designs will directly impact millions of Americans by simplifying how healthcare is understood, accessed, and delivered.
You’ll lead complex projects, contribute to our evolving design system, and bring the voice of the customer to the forefront of every product decision. You'll be tasked with creating intuitive UI mockups, prototypes, and final product designs that elevate user experience and make healthcare accessible to all.
How you will make an impact
- Simplify Complexity: Distill complex user requirements into intuitive, simple user interfaces that enhance usability.
- User Research: Conduct and apply user research, translating insights into actionable design solutions to improve workflows and user experience.
- UI Pattern Library: Develop, evolve, and manage a robust UI pattern library to ensure consistency and scalability across all products.
- Design Tools Expertise: Use tools like Figma, UserTesting.com, and Adobe Creative Cloud to create prototypes, MVPs, and production-ready designs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to deliver cohesive and aligned product experiences.
- Leadership: Lead large, complex design projects from concept through execution, acting as the UX champion for both internal teams and external users.
- Problem Solving: Define, prioritize, and solve problems based on user needs, business goals, and design best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Act on user feedback and data analytics to improve product design, flows, and usability.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or equivalent work experience in a relevant field.
- 3-5 years of proven experience as a Product/UX Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design process and outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in user research and testing, with the ability to translate insights into effective design solutions.
- Familiarity with maintaining and evolving design systems is a plus.
- Experience in an agile environment, utilizing tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Experience maintaining and evolving design systems.
- Familiarity with healthcare technology and a passion for solving healthcare challenges.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to fast-moving targets and business needs.
