We are looking for an experienced and visionary Product Designer to lead the UI and UX design of our software suite. In this role, you’ll ensure our digital interfaces embody the same quality, innovation, and sophistication as our hardware products.  

Combining a strategic perspective with a deep understanding of user experience, you will transform our vision of smart, sustainable design into intuitive, elegant digital solutions. Your work will play a pivotal role in driving our mission to accelerate the energy transition through seamless, user-centered design. 

Responsibilities: 

• You lead the UI and UX design for our mobile and web platforms, aligning with the “smart, sleek, and sustainable” ethos of our Smappee brand. 

• You collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Marketing, to ensure consistent design across all platforms. 

• You translate Smappee’s strategic vision into product designs that exemplify quality, usability, and award-winning standards. 

• You conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to deeply understand user needs and guide informed design decisions. 

• You design wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces for mobile and web, ensuring a seamless and visually engaging user experience. 

• You implement feedback from user testing and analytics, driving continuous improvement in the design. 

• You stay current on UI/UX trends, best practices, and emerging design tools, thoughtfully integrating these insights into your work. 

• You bring 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer, with a portfolio that highlights your expertise in UI/UX design for both mobile and web platforms. 

• You possess a strategic, forward-thinking approach, with the ability to translate long-term goals into compelling, user-centric designs. 

• You have an expert grasp of interaction design, visual design principles and responsive design practices. 

• You are proficient in leading design tools, such as Figma, Sketch and Adobe XD or similar industry standards. 

• You have a proven ability to collaborate closely with developers ensuring pixel-perfect implementation of your designs.   

• You have proven experience conducting user research, usability testing, and applying insights to refine designs. 

• You have excellent communication skills, with the ability to confidently present and advocate for design decisions.  

• You are passionate about advancing sustainability and actively contributing to the energy transition through exceptional, purposeful design.
