After incubating our business on the Harvard University campus, we’ve onboarded our first customers, shipped our first MVP, hired our founding team and closed on our pre-seed round from a Tier 1 early stage VC investor. Now we’re focused on delivering the next version of our platform with a focus on making the complex process of finding and funding your first home simple with GoodRoots.

About the Role

As our Senior UX Designer, you’ll create user-centered designs that empower renters to become homeowners. Working part-time (20 hours/week), you’ll collaborate with the founding team in-office in Bellevue, WA (at least one day per week) to build engaging, intuitive interfaces that drive user adoption.

What You Will Do

• Design end-to-end user flows, wireframes, and prototypes for our core fintech platform.

• Flex your product muscle, including helping out with user research and some product management duties

• Collaborate with engineers, executives and other stakeholders to align designs with business goals.

• Create a responsive, user-friendly interface across web and mobile devices.

About You

• 5+ years of UX/UI design experience, preferably in fintech, insurtech, proptech or mortgage tech guiding users through complex, high-consideration transactions.

• Proven ability to design complex systems with clear, simple user interfaces.

• Strong skills in wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.

• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or similar tools.

• Passionate about improving housing affordability and making a tangible impact in your community.
