About this role 


PlanetBids is seeking a passionate product designer who is excited about creating and fostering user-centric experiences. As a Senior UX Product Designer, you will be bringing our B2B SaaS features to life for nationwide public agencies and the vendors who provide services and products to them. You will lead or participate in all stages of the design process, from requirements gathering to wireframes and prototypes, and high-fidelity designs and usability testing.

Requirements

  

Role Responsibilities

· Working alongside product managers and engineers, gather and evaluate user requirements

· Conceptualize solutions that bring simplicity and usability to complex business challenges

· Create wireframes and prototypes using tools such as Figma to help validate solutions throughout the design and planning phases of projects

· Develop and refine information architecture and user flow diagrams to create intuitive, cohesive, and streamlined user experiences.

· Conduct user research, evaluate user feedback for quantitative and qualitative feedback, and adjust solutions as necessary

· Execute visual design activities, all the way up to hand-off to product and engineering for execution

· Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards

· Partner with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and customer support, to ensure a unified vision and execution.

· Identify quantitative and qualitative KPIs to track and improve within the product


Required Skills

· 4-6 minimum years of UX and product design experience in a SaaS product required

· 1-2 years of conducting User Research testing required (we currently use Userlytics) 

· The ability to create effective prototypes that can be used for user testing purposes required

· Robust portfolio of responsive SaaS contributions (please provide link to portfolio at the top of your resume or cover letter)

· Experience with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, ACS, or similar (we use Figma today)

· Experience leveraging data analytics tools like Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or Hotjar to inform design choices. (We use Clarity and Usermaven today)

· Experience with B2B SaaS, particularly ERPs or Procurement platforms

· Experience working across multiple different parallel initiatives

· Familiarity designing to WCAG 2.2/ADA standards

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

· Proficient in time-management skills and the ability to toggle between working autonomously and collaborating with a team

· As a requirement, all candidates must be physically based in the United States and able to legally work for any employer
